Turn a mark into a two-sided card without leaving the page. Every card keeps a link to the sentence it came from — so a card you doubt is one tap from the original.

Read, mark or review — any one of them counts for the day. The home screen opens on what is due, not on a file list.
OPT-IN AI HELPER
Select a sentence — or crop a region of a diagram — and ask. The answer arrives in the language your app is set to, streams as it is written, and can be saved onto the mark as a note, which makes it raw material for your cards.
The selected text plus one paragraph either side — pitched at your level, with one analogy or example. Not a document dump.
One-tap follow-ups, or type your own. The thread stays scoped to the passage you selected, so it cannot wander off the page.
Hand a batch of highlights over and get card drafts back — front, back and source page. You keep the ones that are right.
As D-day closes in, one page of essentials built from what you marked — which is exactly what a general summary app cannot do.
THE RULES WE BUILT IT UNDER
Requests go to our own worker, which holds the API key and proxies the model. Nothing to extract from the binary.
The sentence you picked and its surrounding context — or the region you cropped. Never the whole document, never your file library.
Reading, marking, review, cards and export are all local. AI is opt-in, has a daily limit, and can be disabled completely.
An AI explanation is a study aid. The original page is the answer key — so every answer keeps a link back to it.

SAFETY & PRIVACY
Wellnote is built for students, which means minors are in the room. The core loop never needs an account or a server, and the AI layer sends the least it can — the selection and its context, nothing more. Inputs sent to the model provider are not used to train models, and AI can be switched off entirely in settings.

Reading, marking, the review inbox, cards, quizzes and PDF export are free and stay free — a study app that meters your studying is not a study app. The AI allowance is what Pro raises, because that is the part with a real per-question cost.
